Sea Sounds is a highly recommended property providing self catering in Simons Town for up to 2 guests visiting the False Bay region.

About Sea Sounds

Sea Sounds is a spacious, tranquil haven with expansive sea views from Kalk Bay to Cape Hangklip. While here one can enjoy spectacular sunrises and shimmering moon rise as well as explore the sandy coves, fynbos covered mountains and charming Simon's Town. Unwind and relax to sea sounds and birdsong.

Self Catering Accommodation

A spacious, serene room sleeping a maximum of 2 adults in a Queen-size bed, indoor / outdoor dining table and chairs, shutters to keep the room cool and a clear open view. There is also a daybed for lounging by the sliding patio door, a bookshelf with books, magazines and local info.

A separate, fully-equipped kitchen with all of the mod cons allowing one to self cater effortlessly. The bathroom is spacious and has a shower.

The apartment is secure and has its own panic button. There is safe, shady on-street parking for a car.

The owner, Roz, is fluent in German and English and will happily check guests in and out, recommend restaurants and places to explore, provide support to ensure your comfort, but your privacy is assured.

Activities and Relaxation

This secluded nest gives you quick access to a safe swimming beach (Fisherman's Beach, a five minute walk down the hill), and is set on the boundary of a nature reserve, rich in fynbos and bird life. Other swimming beaches such as Boulders and Seaforth are close by, so are the famous African penguins in their protected cove.

Wild birdsong and sunshine herald the morning, coffee can be brewed in the well-planned kitchen and you can enjoy the sea views from the window or a table on the sunny patio. You might spot a whale, dolphins or yachts in the bay.

Explore restaurants, shops, galleries and the yacht basin in Simon's Town, only 3km away or drive to Cape Point Nature Reserve in 10 minutes, to hike, swim or climb the Point.

Night life in Simon's Town includes live music, a few friendly bars and restaurants. If you're after the theatre, bustle, seafood specialities and crowds, a 15-minute drive gets you to the nearby coastal village of Kalk Bay.

Back home in your nest, see the moon rise in the bedroom window and hear the sound of the sea from your bed. Enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings, make the space your own and unwind at your own pace.

The apartment is located between the ocean and the mountains, in a quiet but friendly neighbourhood. It's possible to nap undisturbed or soak up the sun on the patio without interruption. You can get out and go snorkelling, kayaking or take a harbour trip from Simon's Town harbour or walk the historical mile in this navy village.

Getting Around

Down the hill (five minutes on foot) is the coastal road, with access to buses and taxis. The train station in Simon's Town is 3km away, with train stops at all the coastal villages on the one hour train trip to the centre of Cape Town. You could cycle to Cape Point, or take a water taxi to Kalk Bay. Bring your holiday, soak up the peace, beauty and sunshine.
