Protea Cottage can sleep six guests and has three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a Queen-size bed. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has two single beds. Guests' are required to bring their own linen. Duvet inners, pillows and hand towels are provided. There are two bathrooms and a separate toilet. The first bathroom has a shower and the second bathroom has a bath. The cottage also features a hot and cold-water outdoor shower, great for after a day at the beach. There is a large indoor braai and an open plan kitchen and lounge. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a Smeg oven / stove and microwave as well as a dishwasher for guests’ convenience. There is a large dining table and chairs in the kitchen / lounge area. The house is fully secured by electric fence and beams. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. The deck comes equipped with a large umbrella and stairs to the garden. Small children must be supervised at all times when on the deck.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.
