About Nyala Safari Lodge

Nyala Safari Lodge, is situated in the Mohlabetsi Conservancy in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The lodge offers self catering accommodation, including 2 game drives or a game drive and guided bush walk per day with an accredited and fully qualified ranger.

The lodge is on the banks of the Mohlabetsi River (meaning "sweet waters"). The 5 large thatched rondavels accommodating single groups from 2 to 10 guests in total. The rondavels at Nyala Safari Lodge are graciously decorated, each comprising an en-suite bathroom. A modern central kitchen - that is fully equipped - and an indoor dining area for the self-catering enthusiasts. A small swimming pool surrounded by green lawn and shady trees.

Accommodation

Nyala Lodge is equipped with 5 luxury thatched rondavels each beautifully appointed with ethic furnishings, draped in romantic fabrics that bring about an atmosphere that is truly African.

The rondavels are 38 square meters and contain either a Queen-size bed or two single beds (an additional cot can be provided). Each rondavel has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, toilet and a basin. There is also an indoor as well as outdoor shower and a private patio that boasts views of either the bush or the garden.

The beds are covered in subtle Percale cotton sheeting and finished with ultra luxurious duvets, giving guests luxurious comfort. Overhead fans whisper gently to keep the pure African air circulating evenly in the room. Generous bath sheets are provided in the en-suite bathrooms.

DINING

Dining takes place in the “Boma” where the peaceful outdoors assist in relaxing the soul. With self-catering as an option, meals may be prepared in the kitchen or over the fire in the “Boma”. The experience of Nyala will be etched in your memory forever.

For our exclusive self-catering option, meals can either be prepared in the kitchen or the boma. Our fully equipped kitchen has top end appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, fridges and freezers.

FACILITIES

The fully serviced self catering lodge provides an extraordinary adventure for nature lovers, where a tastefully decorated lounge area outside - under the thatch - overlooks the seasonal river bed and water-hole. An elevated wooden deck provides restful game viewing in the shade of the large Weeping Boer-bean overlooking the river bed and water-hole.

MOHLABETSI CONSERVANCY

Nyala Safari Lodge in the Mohlabetsi Conservancy is a place where time stops and life begins. Located on the western boundary of the Klaserie Game Reserve, the reserve has two non-perennial rivers meandering through the area and draws a diversity of wildlife and birds. White rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, and other African animals can be discovered on open safari vehicles.

The reserve is situated in one of Africa's most treasured and prolific wildlife regions. It is located on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park. Mohlabetsi offers you an encounter with the African Bushveld in your own way and in your own time. The riverine habitat, open grasslands, mixed woodland and many vantage points and game hides ensure the opportunity of seeing a diversity of bird and wildlife. Guides will plan game activities / drives according to guests' requirements.
