Moholoholo Ya Mati is a guest house with self catering option, providing accommodation in Hoedspruit for tourists visiting the Valley of the Olifants region.
Moholoholo Ya Mati offers accommodation in Hoedspruit in a selection of chalets on the banks of the Blyde River, just off the R531. With lush trees, surrounded by beautifully kept lawns and the Blyde River running through it, Ya Mati awaits. A tea garden with kiddies play area is also available onsite.
Moholoholo Ya Mati guest house has five self catering chalets. All units have a TV with DStv. Wi-Fi is available at the restaurant but not in the chalets and there is limited cell phone reception.
Luxury River Chalet:
This is a three bedroom self-catering chalet with a fully equipped kitchen containing a hob, fridge and microwave. There is a TV with DStv in the living room and all bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom. The chalet has a private swimming pool and there is a braai area and a wooden deck overlooking the Blyde River.
Two Luxury Chalets (Mfubu and Ngwenya):
These three bedroom self-catering chalets (one bedroom has a pull out couch extra for children under 14) each have a kitchen with a hob, fridge and microwave. There is a TV with DStv in the living room, three bathrooms, a shared swimming pool and a private braai area on wooden deck overlooking the lush lawns of Ya Mati and the Blyde River.
Otter Chalet:
This is a two bedroom self-catering chalet with a fully equipped kitchen with a hob, fridge and microwave. There is a TV with DStv in the living room, two bathrooms and a private braai area on the wooden deck over the Blyde River.
Luxury Eight Bed Chalet (Nkhwale):
This four bedroom self-catering chalet has a fully equipped kitchen with a hob, fridge and microwave. There is a TV with DStv in living room, three bathrooms, a shared swimming pool and a private braai area on the wooden deck overlooking the lush lawns of Ya Mati and the Blyde River.
Meals can be provided for at an additional cost. The River Cafe restaurant is ideal for breakfast, light lunches, tea and coffee.
A visit to Moholoholo Wildlife Rehab Centre is a must, only 11km away, daily tours 09h30 and 15h00 Monday to Saturday (closed on Sundays and 25 December). There are also a couple of hiking trails in the area. Ya Mati is well situated as a base to visit many of the other destinations in the Lowveld area. The Kruger National Park's Orpen Gate a mere 70km away.

We had a lovely time at the lodge, it was so peaceful and staff were so friendly. We stayed in the river chalet and the only down side was that the pool was not working and no one informed us before hand but either than that we had an awesome time.
