Mhisi lodge offers a contemporary interpretation of a traditional African bush lodge. You can enjoy sweeping views across the river into Kruger National Park from the viewing balcony, or open living area and swimming pool deck, or you can listen for the calls of the hyenas for which the lodge is named, the resident hippo's grunts, or the unforgettable sound of lions roaring, from the private sheltered boma and bar. Mhisi Lodge is a self catering holiday home with three en-suite, air conditioned bedrooms. The bedrooms have King-size beds and the bathrooms have a bath and shower. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and can be stocked with groceries before arrival. This is an additional service and at an extra fee. The lodge has TV with satellite channels and free Wi-Fi. There is a living room, games room and dining area. Outside there are braai facilities with charcoal and gas braais.     Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.
