Stone Mountain Lodge

Stone lodge sleeps seven in five singles and one double bed. While the double bed is located in its own private room, the other beds are situated on raised “annexes” off the main lodge living area. The bathroom has a shower. The lodge is serviced prior to your arrival – All linen and cooking utensils are supplied, you only need to take food and clothes. Access to the lodge is via a steep track which requires a 4x4 with low range and did lock.

Black Eagle Tented Camp

Four tents, each sleeping 2 guests. Spring mattresses, carpets, hot showers and a flush toilet make for a comfortable stay in a wilderness where the birds are your alarm clock. A well equipped kitchen leads off of a large deck with a central fire pit.

Dassiekrans 1

Dassie 1 sleeps three guests and is furnished with a queen-size and a single bed. The en-suite bathroom looks has a shower. The outside fireplace is next to a small stream with a natural plunge pool to keep you cool in summer. The unit is fully equipped for self catering.

Dassiekrans 2

Dassie 2 sleeps three guests and is furnished with a King-size or twin beds. The en-suite bathroom looks has a shower. overlook a stream fed by a perennial spring which has shallow pools where you can watch the dragonflies hover in the morning sun. The unit is fully equipped for self catering.

Pepper Tree Cottage

This newly renovated cottage overlooks our dam and is one of the best spots to sit and watch the sun set as the fire blazes and a glass of red wine rests lightly between your fingers. There are three bedrooms, one has a king and a single bed, one has a queen bed and the other a single bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. The living area is large enough to accommodate a larger group than the 6 that can sleep in Pepper Tree, so if you are planning a celebratory weekend with a few friends book in here and make this your rendezvous point. The kitchen is well equipped with a 5 plate gas hob but the only electricity is 12V for the lighting and fridge.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.
