Khaya Mandevu is a quirky and cosy self catering holiday home boasting great outdoor living areas overlooking the dam below. The house has a large, fenced garden and sleeps seven guests with six sharing in three separate bedrooms and an extra guest with a bed in the lounge area. An eighth guest could be squeezed in if they are willing to sleep on a couch. A cot is also available. The main bedroom has a Queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom. There are two bathrooms, one en suite with a shower and the other has a bath and an outside shower. The second bedroom has a King-size bed or two singles. There is a third bedroom with a Queen-size bed. A single bed is located in the lounge area. The kitchen has a gas stove top and a fridge. There is a comfortable lounge and dining area. Outside is a garden with braai facilities. A small plunge pool is situated on one side of the house. If babies or toddlers are visiting it can be covered with some heavy wooden frames - please let us know if this is required.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
