Die Hoenderhok @ Leeurivier is a self catering holiday home in Swellendam sleeping four guests. Die Hoenderhok is a character-packed unit. Inside, the old-world charm carries through, with exposed log beams, old sash windows, screed floors and a compact and cosy ambience. Up a rustic stairway brings guests to a cosy loft with 2 bedrooms. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the second room is furnished with twin beds. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. Linen and towels are provided. There is a living room with fireplace and flat screen TV with DStv. Guests need to bring their own card as the channels are limited. Leading off to the side is the open-plan kitchen with small dining nook attached. Guests can also make use of the braai area outside.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.
