Accommodation

The air-conditioned Hillside Manor holiday home offers comfortable accommodation for up to six guests in three en-suite bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are tastefully appointed with king-size beds, while the third bedroom is furnished with two single beds. The bathrooms offer a mix of facilities: two include showers only, while the third is equipped with both a bath and a shower. Quality linen is provided, along with bath towels, robes, and slippers for added convenience.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and features a gas stove and oven, a toaster and kettle, a coffee machine, as well as a fridge-freezer. Guests will also find all necessary cutlery and crockery.

The open-plan lounge and dining area provide ample space to unwind or enjoy a meal, with comfortable seating and the added charm of an indoor fireplace. For entertainment, a television with DStv channels, a DVD player, and complimentary Wi-Fi are available. Underfloor heating adds warmth throughout, and a minibar is also included for guests’ enjoyment.

Outdoors, the home presents a wrap-around patio furnished with seating, ideal for relaxing in the fresh air. The garden is expansive and well maintained, featuring a swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers, the perfect spot to soak up the sunshine.

Given that the Hillside Manor property is not walled, it is not uncommon to entertain surprise guests courtesy of Mother Nature.

One daily game drive is included in the self-catering rates. The reserve offers a host of activities, from game drives and guided bush walks, to cheetah tracking, star gazing and Anglo Boer War talks at an historic site on the reserve.

Situated in a malaria-free area, Hillside Manor is the ideal option for a family getaway and welcomes children of all ages. The reserve is home to white rhino, Cape buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, mountain zebra, a host of antelope, newly re-introduced lions (the first time Mount Camdeboo has had lions in 180 years) and an abundance of birds and unique Cape flora.
