The house has a wonderful view of Walker Bay so sitting on the verandah, taking in all the sea activity and surrounding beauty is an excellent way to spend time. We were comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Thank you.

We had a very nice stay at Guppy Huys. Leigh met us as agreed and she was very friendly and helpful. The location is great – on a quiet street but just 5 minutes from Gansbaai which has some nice restaurants, supermarkets and all the basics we needed for our stay. It was great to wake up to the sound of the birds and the waves and the amazing ocean views. It was just a shame we couldn’t stay longer. Thank you Leigh, Eelco and Bruce.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Guppy Huys. It was exactly what we were looking for - a quiet escape by the sea with friends. The ocean views are amazing. We even saw quite a few whales directly from the porch. The house itself is simple but comfortable with everything we needed. During the day we went for a wine tasting and a hike and in the evening we built a fire in the wood stove, had a braai and played some board games over a bottle of wine. The hosts were very helpful with information about local activities. We will definitely be back.

What wonderful stay with a view of the whales in the bay. Comfortable sized porch looks right into the bay. Direct access to beach hiking trail was a great surprise. Stove and sink could be a little more modern, but the fridge is large and modern. House has everything you need. Both the owner and manager were very responsive, which helped coordinating arrival and departure. Would stay there again. Thanks!
