As a child, I always thought Nottingham Road was the equivalent to ‘The Wind in the Willows’ in KwaZulu Natal, and indeed, this beautiful part of the world with its old-world country taverns and traditional old family farmland is reminiscent of the children’s classic written in 1908. From the N3, take the Nottingham Road / Mount West off ramp which will bring you to a stop street. At the stop street, turn right onto the R103 and proceed for about 8 or 9 kms towards Nottingham Road. The first turn to the left will be into Gowrie Village. Continue past this and past a small group shops on the left known as “The Junction”. Remaining on the R103, continue until the entrance to the golf course is visible on the left. Take this entrance which will bring you directly to Gowrie Farm Clubhouse.
