French Affaire has three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a Queen-size bed, TV with satellite channels, air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with a ball and claw bath, toilet and basin. The other two rooms each have two single beds and share the second bathroom. Linen and bath towels are provided. The kitchen is equipped for self catering with a fridge / freezer, microwave oven, stove, cutlery, crockery and leads to a private courtyard with a fire pit for winters or a braai for a warm summer day. It has a cosy dining room with ample seating which allows for comfortable conversation over a glass of wine. The snug lounge has comfortable couches for watching your favourite programme on DStv's full bouquet. There is a patio available as well as a separate private area with braai facilities. Guests also have access to secure parking in a lock-up garage for two vehicles.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
