Nestled at the foot of the Makhonjwa mountain range in the quaint mining town of Barberton, you'll find Fountain Baths Guest Cottages. Built in 1884 as a bathhouse for gold diggers in the area, it boasts the oldest swimming pool in the Old Transvaal.
Fountain Baths is a welcome retreat for travellers exploring this historic part of South Africa. Situated within walking distance from town, beautiful trees and lush vegetation make this a birder's paradise, while monkeys, baboon and giant bushbabies are regular visitors to the garden.
Accommodation
Accommodation at Fountain Baths Guest Cottages comprises 7 cottages, which are individually decorated. These units sleep 2 to 4 persons, and consist of 1 or 2 bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom. Four of the 7 cottages have a basic kitchen for self-catering purposes, the remaining 3 cottages have a bar fridge and a kettle.
The rooms have been decorated for style and comfort and they all have their own entrances into the garden.
