About Finelands Farm House
Finelands Farm House offers spacious self-catering accommodation on a working dairy farm near Underberg, with the magnificent Southern Drakensberg mountains forming a striking backdrop. This inviting country homestead is ideal for families and larger groups seeking a relaxing break in the countryside, where open farmland, fresh mountain air and the rhythms of farm life provide a welcome change of pace.
Accommodation
Finelands Farm House provides four bedrooms, generous living spaces and a fully equipped country-style kitchen, creating a comfortable setting for families and groups to spend time together. The living areas feature cosy fireplaces for cooler evenings, while the dining area offers space to share meals and enjoy relaxed conversation.
Sleeping arrangements comprise one bedroom with a king-size bed, one with a queen-size bed, one room furnished with a double bed and two last bedroom has two single beds. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and the other with a shower.
The outdoor areas are equally inviting, with extensive lawns, open farm views and beautiful mountain scenery. Guests can explore the farm on foot, enjoy fly-fishing at nearby trout dams or let children play in the spacious grounds. The large patio provides a pleasant spot for outdoor meals, morning coffee overlooking the grazing pastures or an evening braai beneath the stars.
A few thoughtful extras add to the convenience of a stay at Finelands Farm House. Guests receive two litres of fresh milk from the dairy farm each day, and firewood is supplied, limited to two bags per stay. A friendly, helpful housekeeper provides daily housekeeping, although this service is unavailable on public holidays, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Despite its peaceful rural setting, the farmhouse is only a short drive from Underberg's shops, cafés and outdoor attractions. It also offers a convenient starting point for exploring the Southern Drakensberg, including a day trip along the renowned Sani Pass, with its spectacular mountain scenery and route into Lesotho.
