This well-appointed, off-the-grid cottage offers a comfortable and characterful retreat for up to four guests, comprising two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The generously sized covered patio extends the living space outdoors, where a wood-fired KolKol hot tub and outdoor braai invite long, unhurried evenings beneath an open sky.

The open-plan kitchenette flows naturally into a welcoming living area, complete with an indoor braai, creating a warm and convivial space for relaxed self-catering stays. From the cottage, guests are treated to sweeping views of the surrounding farmlands, the imposing Langeberg Mountains, and, after dark, the magnificent star-filled skies of the Klein Karoo, unspoiled by light pollution.
In keeping with its off-the-grid character, the cottage operates without mains electricity.

Hot water is supplied by a gas geyser, and illumination is provided by LED lighting and paraffin lamps. Guests are kindly requested to note that electrical appliances such as hairdryers and mobile phone chargers are not compatible with the facilities provided.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
