Donkerhoek Country Living is a self catering holiday home with three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a King-size bed, two child beds, ample cupboard space and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and a basin. The second bedroom has a King-size bed, which can be converted into two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a toilet and a basin. The third bedroom has two double bunk beds, an iron and ironing board and a large rack for hanging clothes. Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. The living area is furnished with a comfortable lounge suite with a sleeper couch and a coffee table. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, tea / coffee making facilities, crockery and a breakfast nook with seating fro guests to enjoy their meals. Outside on the patio there are BBQ / braai facilities and outdoor dining furniture for guests to make use of.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
