Dolly @ Skuitbaai has two en-suite bedrooms and can accommodate four guests. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and is air-conditioned. The second bedroom contains twin beds. Each en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower. One bedroom leads into the living space, which has a lounge and dining area, while the other bedroom leads into the kitchen. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, an oven and hob, a fridge-freezer, a toaster, cutlery and crockery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. The adjacent living area offers a 6-seater dining table next to an indoor braai, and the lounge area has a comfortable couch in front of a flat-screen TV with selected DStv channels (Compact Plus). There is an extra sofa bed in the lounge area. Free Wi-Fi access is available. The living area leads out onto a furnished deck overlooking the ocean and fynbos, with the deck situated right next to the woodfire hot tub. There is an inverter that provides electricity during power outages (load shedding). Guests have access to secure parking on the premises.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
