Another of Cape Town’s suburbs divided by Main Road, Claremont, is virtually synonymous with the trendy Cavendish Square, and quaint semi-detached cottages much sought after as ‘starter’ homes or for the young and single. From the airport
Take N2 highway / when close to the mountain turn off into Kirstenbosch / Rhodes Drive M3' towards Muizenberg / pass traffic light and take left lane to Claremont / Paradise Road M33 (Exit 10) / drive past Shell petrol station towards traffic circle and take the 2nd road left into Newlands Road / then turn 3rd road left into Obelisk Road (after the pedestrian traffic light).
If you are travelling out of the city centre take Eastern Boulevard N2 / when close to the mountain take the right lane towards Muizenberg and follow the above mentioned directions!
