Chitwa House consists of two beautifully appointed en-suite rooms with private decks and outdoor showers. The common areas include a spacious common lounge and dining area and a lake-view deck with swimming pool. You can go on exciting Big 5 game drives in your own private safari vehicle with a guide and a tracker. Enjoy delicious meals, either served by us or a private chef who can cook up delights in Chitwa House's fully equipped kitchen. During down time, enjoy drinks from the fully stocked mini-bar and coffee/tea facilities or watch the private television in your lounge.

Great care has been taken to balance unpretentious style with complete comfort when it comes to the Chitwa Suites. Each of the six individually decorated suites open onto a private lake-view deck with its own private plunge pool, framed by a spacious timber deck that overlooks the nearby water – a popular drinking hole for our wealth of wildlife. The luxury suites are very spacious, varying from 130 to 180 square metres, and can accommodate 1 extra bed for children under the age of 12 yrs only. All the Chitwa Chitwa Suites include a bath-tub, indoor and outdoor shower, fireplace, minibar, fan, hairdryer, tea coffee making facility and an iPod docking station.

beer and spirits - Chitwa House Wine Selection - two open vehicle safaris a day - daily walking safaris - laundry service- return transfers from the Chitwa airstrip to the lodge.

INCLUSIVE RATES EXCLUDE:
Purchases from the boutique, spa treatments, telephone calls and air and road transfers to/from the lodge and all premium label alcoholic beverages. All airport taxes and applicable Sabi Sand entrance fees (R280.00 cash per vehicle & R120.00 per person) are for the clients own account. Private use of safari vehicle accompanied by an expert guide is available on request at an additional cost.

SPECIAL RATES:
Specials booked are on a full board basis only and include accommodation - all meals - water - teas and coffees – two open vehicle safaris a day - daily walking safaris - return transfer from the Chitwa airstrip to the lodge.

The special rate does not include alcoholic beverages and soft drinks - telephone calls - purchases from the boutique, spa treatments and air and road transfers to/from the lodge.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
