Casa La Mer Guesthouse is a modern and romantic stone cottage with a private entrance, situated in Strand, a seaside resort town in the Western Cape. It has an open-plan layout and accommodates 2 guests. It is furnished with a queen-size bed, and the bathroom is fitted with a shower. The kitchenette is equipped with a bar fridge-freezer, portable gas stove, slow cooker, toaster, kettle, microwave, and Nespresso coffee machine, as well as tea-and-coffee-making facilities. There is also a dining table suited for 2 people. Outside, guests will find a KolKol hot tub and will receive 1 complimentary bag of wood. The cottage is situated just 2 km from the beach and is close to superb golf courses and outstanding beaches.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.
