We are conveniently situated in the crossroads town of Hanover, halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town, halfway between Port Elizabeth and Upington and halfway between Durban and Cape Town.

A typical South African farmhouse with architecture that hails from the 1800's, Bun Clody is an oasis for the travel-weary and seekers of Karoo hospitality.

Accommodation

You can expect an ambient and distinctive South African traditional farm with Victorian decor. Rooms contain single, double or king size beds, bath tub and / or shower, all with generous space and access to our patio and garden.

All rooms and suites are designed to make our guest feel relaxed and special. Our experienced staff will take care of your every need and we try to create the perfect environment to unwind from stress and relax.

There are a number of fabulous walks you can go on in and around Hanover, offering you the opportunity to stumble upon many monuments and historical buildings. Head up Trappieskop and enjoy a great little hike, with exceptional views of the village.

At night there is nothing better to do than cast your eyes on the endless stars shining brighter than you have ever seen them. The Karoo skies are incredible and different to anything you have experienced; this star safari will blow your mind.

Gary was such a welcoming and friendly host. We felt completely at home in his guesthouse, which has so much charm and character. Although our room was right on the street, there was no noise because we were there on a Sunday. Staying at Bun Clody Guesthouse in Hanover was a perfect half way stop from Johannesburg, to rest and relax, before continuing on to our destination in the Western Cape. I will not hesitate to come and stay here again!
