I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bun Clody. Gary & Kyle were excellent hosts.

Gary was such a welcoming and friendly host. We felt completely at home in his guesthouse, which has so much charm and character. Although our room was right on the street, there was no noise because we were there on a Sunday. Staying at Bun Clody Guesthouse in Hanover was a perfect half way stop from Johannesburg, to rest and relax, before continuing on to our destination in the Western Cape. I will not hesitate to come and stay here again!

From the minute we arrived we were greeted with the warmest hospitality one could imagine. The dinner that night for only R130 was delicious lamb curry, rice, roasted chicken drumsticks, cauliflower cheese, sweet pumpkin and beans and carrots. In 38 degree heat the cool jelly and custard or ice-cream finished the meal off perfectly. All enjoyed outdoors in the garden with a gentle breeze blowing. The beds were brilliant with crisp linen, good duvets and pillows and fluffy towels. The air-conditioner was a winner. Breakfast was two eggs, tomato, bacon and toast and jams. Highly recommended.

Warmly welcomed by all the staff on arrival. The establishment was lovely and clean and beautifully appointed. The Proprietor was most hospitable and made a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended stopover.
