Camp Site Upper Level

There are 11 upper level camp sites that all boast elevated views of the river and have an electric plug-point and braai's / BBQ. Guests can make use of the parking facilities.

Park Sites

Park sites are in the middle of the upper level and river front sites. They are grassy and most have shade. They too do not have parking facilities but you can drive to your site and unload before parking in the parking area which is about 30 to 50 meters away. Park sites have electricity and braai / BBQ facilities. The campsites are about 20 meters away from the river.

Camp Site River Front (No Caravans)

There are six campsites on the riverfront that do not allow caravans. These sites do not have parking facilities; they are drop and go only. All sites have electricity points and BBQ / braai facilities - please bring your own grid.

Camp Site River Front (Caravans or Tents)

There are only 2 sites on the river that are big enough for caravans. These sites are drop and go and all cars must be parked in the parking area which is about 30 meters away. Guests can drive to the site, unload and then move the vehicle. The sites have electricity points and braai's / barbeques. There is a tap close by.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
