Surrounded by the tranquil Blyde River and the majestic Drakensberg mountains, this thatched lodge is set in a private reserve, in an area famous for its panoramic scenery, bird-life, fauna and flora. Nestled on the banks of the Blyde River, it offers travellers a unique bush experience whilst soaking up the beauty of the natural surroundings.

Blyde River Wilderness Lodge is situated along the famous Panoramic Route of Mpumalanga / Limpopo Province and is just a 50 minute drive to the Kruger National Park - Orpen Gate.

Accommodation

We are located 25kms from the entrance to the Blyde River Canyon National Park. The lodge is situated four and a half hours north of Johannesburg / Pretoria.

A lovely location snd we were upgraded from a rondavel to a luxury room. But the menu was very limited and the staff were friendly but offhand making us feel a nuisance at times. Overall we enjoyed our stay but wouldn’t try rush back.
