Birches Cottage

Birches Cottage is a luxury suite, offering accommodation for two adults with an extra-length king size bed. The cottage consists of a kitchenette, lounge and dining area, a spacious bedroom and a bathroom with a separate bath and shower and his/hers basins. A cosy gas fire and electric blankets are provided to counter the chilly Underberg winter nights. The beds are dressed in percale linen and the embroidered duvets are filled with duck down. Floors are covered in sumptuous thick-pile carpets while the cottage walls are adorned with collector’s hand-coloured photographs and original paintings.

Willows Cottage

Willows Cottage is a luxury bedsit suited to the shorter term and overnight traveller. Accommodating two persons on a king size bed or adjoining single beds, its luxurious appointment includes a bar fridge, microwave and beverage preparation area. The beds are dressed in sheer percale linen, duck down duvets and electric blankets. The bathroom has a separate bath and shower and a luxury vanity. The walls are hung with black and white photographs of the Underberg region.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.
