After reaching the top of a 67-step wooden stairway leading up to the Ballots Bay Treehouse, you will find three cosy, tastefully decorated bedrooms on the lower level. The main bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom fitted with a lavish corner bathtub. The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed, and the third bedroom is a small room furnished with bunk beds, ideal for two children. There is also a guest toilet and basin. Upstairs is a third bathroom fitted with a shower, dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen and an open-plan lounge that spills out onto a generous deck. Watch Netflix movies while lounging on the comfortable leather couch in front of the fireplace on a winter's evening. Wi-Fi is also provided. Dine on the upper deck shaded by a large parasol, or relax over sunset cocktails and prepare a braai in the Weber while soaking up the uninterrupted views over the beach and river mouth. Street parking is available.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.
