At the River Guest House has six beautiful rooms with twin beds which can be combined to make a King-size bed. The rooms have an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Each room has air conditioning, TV with selected satellite channels and free Wi-Fi. The kitchenette has a small fridge, kettle and microwave. The rooms have tea / coffee making facilities and bathroom amenities. Outside is a covered patio with a table and chairs. The guest house has a swimming pool, braai area and secure parking. Breakfast is served between 07h00 and 08h30. It is not included in the accommodation fee and must be booked in advance when you check-in. Dinner can be provided on request at an additional cost.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
