Ambleside Cottage is a charming thatched retreat with a warm country character and a storybook appeal. It accommodates up to eight guests across four inviting bedrooms. The first bedroom features a king-size bed, the second and third each offer two single beds, and the fourth is furnished with a queen-size bed. There is one en-suite bathroom as well as a shared family bathroom.; ; The heart of the cottage is an open-plan kitchen, dining area, and lounge. Guests are provided with all linen and bath towels. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas and electric stove, an oven, a dishwasher, and ample storage space. From here, the space flows into the dining area and then into a welcoming lounge complete with a cosy fireplace, perfect for cool mountain evenings.; ; Guests can explore the estate along meandering paths that lead to crystal-clear mountain pools and ancient bushman caves, offering an authentic taste of the Drakensberg’s natural wonders. We reserve the right to not refund card fees (transaction costs) in the case of cancellations or other situations where funds need to be reversed back to a credit card.
The cardholder & ID/Passport must be present at check-in.
The credit card used for the online payment must be present at check-in
Payment of a deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
No refunds for late check-ins or early check-outs.
Arrival time is 14h00 or after, and Departure time is 10h00 unless prior arrangements have been made.
Additional guests over and above the number specified on your invoice are not permitted.
Failure to comply with this shall result in your booking being terminated, and you shall be requested to vacate the property immediately. No refunds shall be granted.
Guests will be liable for breakages or property damage.
There is a no-smoking policy inside the units. You will be liable to a fine of R1 000 should you breach such policy.
Ambleside has a NO pet / pet-free policy. Guests will be required to leave should they arrive with pets. No refund.

How to confirm?
Deposits are required to confirm a booking, usually 50% but sometimes as high as 100% depending on season and time till check-in.

Cancellation policy
If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
If cancelling 60 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
If cancelling 999 days before arrival, forfeit 10% of the deposit.
