A lovely spacious two bedroom cottage dates back to the early 1900’s and exposes it’s age with beautiful high ceilings, wooden floors and an abundance of old world charm. It has been lovingly restored and decorated and forms part of the main house. Sleeping five guests, makes Lavender ideal for families and small groups travelling together. As you enter the cottage through it’s own private entrance, there is an entrance hall, two large separate bedrooms (twins and queen), a cosy warm lounge area with a single day bed. The well sized sunny kitchen, is fully equipped and has a dining area. There is a full bathroom with a shower-over-bath, fresh fluffy towels and basic toiletries. The covered veranda overlooks the beautiful garden, that attracts many garden birds for guests to enjoy. A communal braai area and fire pit is available to use for those long summer evenings or to snuggle around in the early winter evenings. A Weber is provided in the enclosed courtyard to the back of the cottage.

The fully equipped kitchenette allows for easy cooking or why not relax in the secluded outdoor courtyard and enjoy a braai on a Weber. A short path leads to the beautiful garden at the front of the main house, that attracts many garden birds for guests to enjoy.       Frequently Asked Questions

      Why do I have to pay a deposit?

      This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

      Can I pay the deposit at month end?

      That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged.
