51 On York offers four rooms furnished with Queen-size beds. Three of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The fourth room has access to a shared bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The rooms are serviced daily and are equipped with a bar fridge and a refreshment station. Other in-room facilities include but are not limited to Smart TVs in every room and free, high-speed internet for all, fan/heater and at request, an iron and ironing board will be provided as well as a lock-up safe and a comfortable work desk, lamp and conveniently placed plug points. Breakfast or dinner are available and home-made, cooked by our own Chef. 51 On York has an in-house spa, braai area, safe and secure parking.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
