About Visit Iziko Museum at Groot Constantia
Groot Constantia is a national monument and is the oldest and first farm to produce wine in the Cape. The estate is the benchmark by which the heritage of the Cape is measured in terms of its history, estate wines and architecture among others.
The estate in Constantia, Cape Town, houses an orientation centre, Manor House and cellar - all of which have interesting items to see.
The orientation centre houses an exhibition of several artefacts and photographs that depict the history of the Estate.
The Cloete Cellar was the Estates original wine cellar and now houses a display of drinking vessels and wine making equipment. The museum is well worth a visit to learn more about this gracious old homestead.
