About Constantia Waldorf Market
The Constantia Waldorf Night Market is back for its summer season. Known as one of Cape Town’s “must do” events, the Night Market will be held on the last Friday of every month during school term while the Organic market is held every friday.
Set in the idyllic grounds of the Constantia Waldorf School with its beautiful mountain backdrop, the Night Market combines the finest organic produce, ready to eat gourmet fare, beautiful hand crafts, clothing and original art with live entertainment for all ages in a fire and candle lit atmosphere.
The Organic market offers a vast range of byodynamic and organic prodiuce from fruit and veg, preserves, honeys, dairy products and eggs and much more.
Extremely popular as a family friendly venue, the Night Market presents over 120 indoor and outdoor stalls, an open air stage with live music and other acts, the famous Rainbow Puppet Theatre (the only full time puppet troupe in South Africa), games for little ones, introductory yoga classes, alternative healing and massage therapies.
Starting at 5pm, the Night Market is the perfect way to end the week with family and friends. As the sun goes down over the Constantia Valley and the outdoor braziers are lit, folk are free to shop, eat, be entertained and enjoy the peaceful Waldorf atmosphere of a true community market. The market winds down at 9pm.
Secure parking is available at R15 per car. No alcohol is sold on the premises, but patrons are free to bring that special bottle of wine to share with friends in the outdoor entertainment area.
