About the Hogsback Spring Festival
Celebrate Spring with the Hogsback Garden Club and visit their beautiful gardens. A selection of gorgeous gardens and public spaces are open to guests each year for a 3 week period which starts and ends of with a festival weekend.
Gardens in this district are famed for a wide variety of exotic plants such as Azaleas, Rhododenrons, Maples, Dogwoods and many more. A selection of formal and informal gardens to see some of which include spectacular roses. Hogsback is also home to a Ludwigs Rose Centre - Mons Garden - which is well worth a visit. There are also indigenous forest trails to explore and waterfalls to discover and much to do in this delightful village.
Open Garden tickets cost R100 per person and are available to purchase in the village at the Visitors Info Centre or online with Quicket. Your garden tour wristbands are valid for your entire stay in the village so you can spread out visiting the gardens at a leisurely pace. Guided tours are available by request for larger group bookings for those who want to know more about what is in the gardens.
To avoid disappointment it is advisable to book your accommodation well in advance for this event.
