Linksfield, East Rand

As the commercial and media capital of southern Africa, Johannesburg is a bustling epicentre that comprises a number of different suburbs as well as areas that run and work almost independently of the greater whole, like little towns in their own rights. Linksfield is one of these. It is part of Edenvale in the East Rand of the Gauteng metropolis of Jo’burg, as the urban hub is affectionately known.

Linksfield is an elegant town that exudes an air of upmarket appeal. The homes and natural spaces are beautiful. In addition, its residents and visitors enjoy the added advantage of being within close proximity to a number of different amenities and attractions. The OR Tambo International Airport is a mere 15-minute drive away. In addition, the malls, businesses and tourist hotspots of Melrose Arch, Sandton and Rosebank are all within about 10 minutes from the heart of Linksfield.

The Bruma Lake Flea Market is the largest of its kind in South Africa, and is a must-see for all of those spending time in Linksfield, Johannesburg. Explore the African curios, gifts and keepsakes and interact with the locals. Other attractions nearby (less than 10 kilometres away) include the Wanderers Cricket Stadium, the Royal Johannesburg Golf Club, the Johannesburg Zoo and the SA Museum of Military History.
