About Sports Science Institute Conference Centre
Given that the Sports Science Institute of South Africa (SSISA) literally rubs shoulders with the Sahara Park Cricket Stadium and Newlands Rugby Stadium, you can host your conference at the very heart of South African rugby and cricket. The SSISA conference centre, situated in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, is made up of a 200 seat auditorium, two smaller breakaway rooms and includes state of the art equipment plus catering, bar and additional support services.
The centre’s unique location also means that delegates can take a break and go on a walkabout trail of the SA Rugby Museum or Josephine’s Mill, Cape Town’s only operational historic water mill.
Given that the chairs in the spacious auditorium have built-in tables, up to 200 guests can be seated in an intimate theatre style arrangement. Equipped with up to date audiovisual technology, the auditorium is also the perfect venue for product launches or larger-than-life big screen match viewing.

Reserve these rooms for your workshop, training session or mini conference. Suitable for groups of 5 to 30 people, the breakaway rooms are ideal for board meetings, client briefings, product launches or promotions. The seating and venue layout can be adapted to suit your needs.
Fuel the thinking with a delicious breakfast, teatime treat, lunch, snack, dinner or cocktail. The SSISA conference centre is contracted to external caterers who dish up a variety of healthy menu options that can be customised to your specific needs - be they vegetarian, Halaal or any other dietary requirements.
The centre also has a fully licensed bar that can be made available during or after the conference on either a cash or credit basis. Menus are available on request.
