On my recent trip to Durban, my family and I spent five blissful nights at Ocean View in Umhlanga. The four star rating is much deserved as the service is excellent.Breakfast was served in our room and we were able to arrange our preferences without much fuss.The garden was well manicured and the views from the family room was of course that of the ocean and magical. Despite our week long stay, laundry was hardly an issue as it was taken care of by our hosts. Helen and the team are to be commended for making our accommodation such a wonderful experience.After much travelling, we have finally picked our spot in Umhlanga and it is the inimitable Ocean View! |

Ocean View B&B was a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Durban. Our ground floor studio overlooked the sea and was immaculately kept. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip. The owner Helen was very helpful and made sure our stay was very comfortable. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone. Well deserved 4* status but with 5* service. If we are ever in South Africa again we would definitely stay there, cannot praise it enough.

Thank you very much Helen for making our honeymoon magnificent. We thoroughly enjoyed it, honestly and would love to come back! The apartment we were in for that one week was awesome, the scrumptious breakfast was so fresh and so amazing; we looked forward to it everyday! The ocean views are breathtaking each morning over breakfast... and the rooms are so clean and so well kept! thank you once again... |

We arrived after dark and Helen came out to greet us. The accommodation was luxurious. We went through the menu for breakfast which was great. In the morning we were greeted by a beautiful sea view, and breakfast was brought to our unit. (A great idea) Unfortunately, we could only stay one night, but it was a really upmarket place, without the huge pricetag.

Must be one of the best (if not the very best) B&B that we have stayed in. We were warmly welcomed, wants and needs for breakfast carefully determined - and the final product even better. We will gladly recommend this facility to other travellers to this area. |
