The Cliff Path stretches along the coastline of Hermanus from the one end of town to the other. Benches along the way offer walkers the chance to stop and enjoy the sea views or watch the whales in the bay during the whaling season. There are several beaches such as Grotto beach, Voelklip beach and Kammabai, to name a few. The Fernkloof Nature Reserve offers several different grades of walks to view spectacular fynbos as well as views over Walker Bay and the surrounding mountains. Tucked into the folds of the Glen Vauloch Mountains on the outskirts of Hermanus lies the Hemel and Aarde Valley. Wine lovers can treat themselves to a unique wine tour among some of the southern most vineyards of Africa, with only the Cape Agulhas vineyards being further south. The Hemel and Aarde Valley is home to several vineyards who have produced numerous proclaimed wines over the last few years. Guests can do their own tour or a guided tour can be arranged.
