Review by: Mrs Hedy Ferreira, Scottburgh (stayed: April 2009)
My family and I have visited Louwlands over the past ten years and are always excited when we turn into the gates at Louwlands. This piece of heaven has been a veritable refuge for our weary souls - a place where we can recharge our batteries, flee the humidy of the coast and languish in the hospitality which our ever-charming hostess, Louisa Louw lavishes upon us...she is like a hovering angel who is there when we need her, yet retires gracefully into the background while we laze in front of the roaring fireplace and make her home our own. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated where the beds beckon for a lazy afternoon nap bathed in the glorious sunshine pouring in the through the windows, which look out over the magical garden. It's difficult to tear oneself away from the views to the mountains, especially in the late afternoons, when we've returned from a delightful walk. Louwlands is enchanting throughout the year and we LOVE it !! WHAT a treasure and WHAT a pleasure ! |
