About Wyford Farm
Wyford Farm is a small working farm, located in the mountainous area off Van Reenen Pass in the KwaZulu-Natal Region. Experience peace and quiet in a charming country setting with our old-school farm cottages, complete with farm animals, perfect to escape the city.
Accommodation
All cottages have fireplaces for the Winter as well as electric blankets. Fans are supplied for the hotter Summer months and guests can enjoy a dip in the farm style pool (water supply dependent), dams and rivers. The two larger cottages have fully equipped kitchens including a stove, while the two smaller have kitchenettes with two plate stoves and all the other basics you need to self-cater. All units have seating areas both inside and outdoors, private bathrooms and comfortable beds. Tea, coffee and farm milk are provided together with bed linen, towels and hairdryers. Each has their own BBQ area and garden. Vehicles can be parked next to the cottages.
The units are serviced daily and pets are accepted with prior arrangement (a fee applied).
A good selection of home made meals, braai packs with salads and breads as well as cook your own Breakfast Baskets are available to pre-order.
We're within easy access of the N3 on a 2km hard surface farm road.

Activities
Horse riding: Children can enjoy short rides with horses on leads while more experienced riders can enjoy outrides. Advanced booking required.
Walking: Take a gentle meander along the stream and around the farm, or opt for one of our more adventurous walks on farm roads or mountain paths.
Bird watching
4x4 trails: Our extensive farm roads offer challenging 4x4 routes which can be enjoyed in high rise vehicles as well as on mountain bikes.
Splash pool: Enjoy our seasonal splash pool. Youre also welcome to swim in the dams and paddle in the streams. Please note it is unfenced and children must be supervised at all times.
Picnics: We offer picnic blankets and will gladly put a picnic basket together for you with advanced booking.
Bicycle routes: Bring your own bikes.
Bass fishing: Bass fishing is available on our neighbouring farm by arrangement.
In the Area
Guests can enjoy horse riding, walking, bird watching and bicycle routes in the area. Day trips to Northern Drakensberg resorts such as Royal Natal National Park; Giants Castle; Cathedral Peak and Champagne Valley. Sterkfontein Dam, Golden Gate National Park, Basotho Cultural Village, Clarens, Witisieshoek Mountain Resort and the Battlefields of Spionkop, Fugitives' Drift, Rorke's Drift and Isandlwana are also within driving distance.
