High up on the Franschhoek Pass overlooking one of the most beautiful valleys in the world, lies Haute Cabrière. Built into the side of the Franschhoek mountain range, Haute Cabriere features a unique ceremonial venue with soaring cathedral-like arches, flanked by French oak barrels where our Pinot Noir rests in maturation.

Complete with rows of seats down the aisle where your guests come to celebrate your marriage, this venue sets the tone for an unforgettable experience. The festive character of Haute Cabriere is rounded off by our range of elegant wines and a fine dining environment at Haute Cabriere Cellar Restaurant, which is situated just above the barrel maturation cellar and dressed in crisp, white linen, lit up by white chairs and beautiful sparkling handcrafted chandeliers.

Our Venues

A variety of venues are available to make your special day a unique experience for everyone. We are more than happy to show you the facilities and to share our own experiences with you to create a smooth flow for your celebrations. The cathedral-like Pinot Noir Barrel Maturation Cellar is a beautiful venue for your ceremony, and can accommodate up to 100 guests. Our hand-made French Oak Barrel chairs are included in the arrangements.

After the ceremony, guests move upstairs – weather permitting - to enjoy pre-drinks and canapés on the Terrace overlooking the Franschhoek valley. For your festive meal and dance, Haute Cabriere Cellar Restaurant offers the “true marriage of food and wine”.

The Restaurant

Dressed in crisp, white linens and featuring a series of sparkling handcrafted chandeliers and colourful artworks, many of them by cellar master and Haute Cabrière founder Achim von Arnim, the restaurant offers a festive setting for a memorable wedding feast.

The menu developed by recently appointed Head Chef Ryan Shell features a number of Haute Cabrière signature dishes including the famed mussels and seared tuna and naturally the cellar’s famed wines and Pierre Jourdan MCCs continue to be a major drawcard for wine aficionados. A range of set menus is available for you to choose from. We are also more than happy to accommodate any other requests.

Capacity
The venue can seat up to 100 guests, while still allowing space for a dance floor. For larger groups, the venue can be extended at an additional fee.
