Farm History


The farm was first started in 1949 when raisons, lusern and cotton were planted. Stefaans, Zandri and their three children, Michael, Duan and Stephanie are the third generation at Ebenaeser.

They started producing table grapes on a small scale in 1993. Since then 52 hectares table grapes were planted and includes the cultivars Thompson seedless, Flame seedless, Superior seedless, Midnight Beauty and Prime seedless. 5 Hectares wine and 15 hectares raisin grapes are also produced.

The projected production in 2008/2009 will be a total of 200 000 cartons which includes 180 000 white seedless and 20 000 cartons red seedless. Table grapes are being exported to England, Europe, Far East and Middle East.

Social Responsibility


The farm currently provides employment to 50 permanent and 250 seasonal workers. The farms social responsibility to the workers is of great importance.
