About Clanwilliam
Clanwilliam is a quiet, unspoilt town dating back to the early seventeen hundreds. It is situated 230 km north of Cape Town on the N7, which is also the main route to Namibia. The dramatically beautiful Cederberg range is to the East and Lamberts Bay, famous for its seafood and bird island only 60 km to the West.

Every April / May Clanwilliam hosts the Cederberg Festival – an arts and cultural event - which attracts more and more visitors each year. During August / September the Wild Flower Show is held in the historic, old Flower Church to coincide with the spring flower season.

Rooibostea (Red Tea) is endemic to the area and a visit to the Rooibos Factory or a tea plantation is a must.

Clanwilliam is a nature lovers paradise offering scenic hikes. Bird watchers are afforded the opportunity of seeing many of the species endemic to the fynbos and Karoo vegetation. The Clanwilliam Dam and Bulshoek Dam offer some of the best opportunities for water-sport and bass fishing.
