About Cederberg Ridge Wilderness Lodge

Cederberg Ridge Wilderness Lodge offers accommodation with an authentic ambience of a modern African farmhouse. The warm and inviting interiors, with beamed ceilings, give a light and airy feel while large French windows open to a spacious stoep and deck overlooking the garden. The establishment has a restaurant, swimming pool, bar and free Wi-Fi.

Accommodation

The hotel rooms include a tea / coffee station, DStv, air conditioning and underfloor heating. All rooms have a terrace. Guests are welcome to make use of our mountain bikes and the walking and mountain biking trails.

Breakfast and dinner are included in the rates. You can expect a seasonally changing menu with a choice of starters, mains and dessert. As we are small and personal, we try to cater for special diet needs, so there are always two vegetarian dishes on offer at dinner. But we'll happily offer other options if you are staying longer.

The classic rooms are perfect for those who like to be close to the action. These elegant rooms are smaller (32 sqm) with full en suite bathroom with bath, shower and double vanity. The Classic View room opens onto the main stoep with views over the garden and towards the Mountains. It has an enclosed toilet. The Classic Courtyard room does not have a view of the mountains. It overlooks the quiet courtyard. However this room is frail or wheelchair-friendly with a ledge seat in the shower, and a toilet in the bathroom.

They are the true representation of the adage that the difference lies in the details. Our room was gloriously spacious with breathtaking views of the Cederberg, the decor understated with an earthy elegance and the food excellent. The early morning hike was refreshing and food for the soul and the burst of birdsong was heavenly. The personal touches with special cake and cupcakes, as well as warm tub with candle light, made my birthday super special. A true mountain refuge. Highly recommended.
