I write this review of my stay at Berghouse and Cottages with considerable pleasure. Vaughn & Chantal Piccione, who run Berghouse, are first-rate hosts who exemplify hospitality and warmth. They made me feel right at home and relaxed as I prepared to trek in the Drakensberg Mountains. Their thatch-roofed lodges are very comfortable and unquestionably offer the best panoramic views of the Drakensberg. Truly breathtaking scenery! Be sure to soak up Vaughn’s in-depth knowledge, history and passion for the Drakensberg too – it was most useful! While ‘self-catering’ is on offer, Chantal’s kitchen must surely be the best restaurant in South Africa – it’s top-shelf cooking and compulsory tasting! The personal touch of Vaughn and Chatal made my stay most special and memorable. You’ll have no regrets should you decide to make visit. |

We went to the Berghouse and cottages on our annual corporate goal setting.
We had such an awesome time!!! The conference facilities were comfortable and the surrounding views-amazing.
The talk the whole way home was that the venue choice was one of the best we have had
and everyone was asking for the contact details as they want to come up
with their families.
It was absolutely awesome and Vaughn and Chantal were so accommodating and
understanding with us!
We made quite a bit of noise, which I would love to blame on the boys but us girls
were definitely apart of it. We were just having such a blast around the
fire!
We will be definitely be back and will be passing on the contact details to all our other departments!
