This place is fantastic. It gave me the real African feeling as you are in the middle of nowhere. Listening to all the different kind of birds and insects at day and night is amazing. The interior of the house makes you feel back in 1864. However, bathrooms and bedrooms are of high standard. Thanks Helen and Jeremy for offering this great experience.

We only stayed for a night but are planning to spend a long weekend exploring the beautiful surroundings, enjoying the comforts and quirkiness of the historical villa, playing snooker and listening to 80's rock in the games room, having sundowners on the balcony with its great view and cooking up a storm in the well equipped, comfortable and spacious kitchen. This place is unique, beautiful and comfortable. The decor has lots of attention to detail without being fussy, the hospitality is warm without being obtrusive and all in all I doubt Ann's Villa will stay a best-kept secret for long.

This old and historic building has been beautifully and authentically restored. Amazingly the ledgers and implements in the shop and forge survived the many years when the building was unoccupied and must be seen. Ann's Villa stands quietly isolated at the foot of the Zuurberg and next to a very scenic road across to Addo, great for a car or mountain bike ride. Great hospitality too! Thanks Jeremy, Helen and Martha.
