The non profit organisation of De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Centre is found at the foot of the Magaliesberg. The King Cheetah was first bred here and the centre is renowned for its success in breeding rare and endangered species.
Three hour guided tours are given on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 8.30am and 1.30pm. Booking is essential and unfortunately children under the age of 6 are not permitted. Photographic tours are also available.
Directions:
Head north on the R511.
Go under the N14 and follow the R511 Brits signs.
Cross over Silkaatsnek and turn right onto the R513 Pretoria North.
The centre is located about 5km down this road on the right hand side.
