About Champagne Walking Trail
The Champagne Walking Trail, located near Zastron in the Free State, comprises of a series of day routes, which are really easy to complete. The trails can take one or two days to walk, and an old farmhouse can be utilized as a base camp for hikers.
All the routes offer stunning views of the Maluti and Witteberge mountains, with a distance of approximately 10km each, and a maximum of 30 people are permitted per group. It is advisable to make contact beforehand to check on the seasonal availability of the trail, and to see whether there is space available for your party at the old farmhouse.
