Paradise Flycatchers frolic in the glades at Carryblaire

Carryblaire River Retreat is a registered bird sanctuary, and boasts approximately 450 species of birds in the area.

Impressively, 100 of these have been personally identified by our father from the glorious verandah that overlooks the gardens and river.

Goliath herons, paradise fly catchers, spotted eagle owls, cardinal woodpeckers, black breasted prinias and fish eagles are amongst the more esteemed visitors, while white eyes, sunbirds, black collared barbets, bishop birds and crested barbets frolic in the glades on a daily basis.
