These beautifully restored Karoo townhouses are situated in the historic part of Colesberg, right next to the Dutch Reformed Church. ACCOMMODATION:The guest houses offer 2 or 3 bedrooms, some with en-suite bathroom facilities. 15 and 15A Bell Street: 15 and 15A Bell Street consists of two units, each with two en-suite bedrooms and private lounges with TV, microwave oven, refrigerator and dinnerware. 5 Bell Street: 5 Bell Street consists of two units - one with an en suite bathroom and private lounge and the other with two bedrooms sharing a bathroom, a lounge / dining room with TV, equipped kitchen. These units have each a lock up garage and barbecue facilities are available. 26 Stockenstroom Street: At 26 Stockenstroom Street, around the corner, - with an African theme and a selection of African art - we offer two family rooms with en suite bathrooms - each sleeping 5. There are also two double rooms and a single room - these rooms share a bathroom. A communal kitchen, dining room, TV room, a cosy barbecue and play area are for your use. Secure parking are available.BREAKFASTShould you feel like breakfast - our reception house in Charl Cilliers Street is where you will treated to something scrumptious. Please make the necessary arrangements before hand as it's only available on request. NOTE: We are Pet and child friendly.NEARBYExcellent restaurants, a museum, shops and a supermarket are all within walking distance. Close by is a nine hole golf course with challenging Karoo fairways but well-maintained grass greens and aprons and well-equipped club house facilities. Other facilities in town include tennis courts, cycling and walking routes, bird-watching and unique sunrises and sunsets.ABOUT COLESBERGFrom its earliest days Colesberg has been a bustling resting and meeting place, a gateway to the north for explorers and hunters - later also for those seeking their fortune on the Diamond and Goldfields. The town still is a traveller’s oasis on the main routes to the interior and the coast. Here the N1 and the N9 meet and the town is the southern gateway to the Lake !Xariep Tourist Route (R58) which covers Gariep Dam, Norvalspont, Venterstad, Oviston and Bethulie. The Colesberg-Kemper Museum with its 19th century toy collection is also the permanent house to the UNISA Karoo Nomad Photographic Exhibition. Together with Anglo-Boer War sites and a fine selection of 19th century buildings Colesberg offers an exciting reflection on the past and present. |
