Umkomaas Guest House, winners of the 2007 KwaZulu Natal Tourism Service Excellence award was recently awarded the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa 4 star award and the National Accommodation Association Gold Service Excellence award.

Umkomaas is the ideal holiday destination, situated just 30 minutes South of Durban International Airport, between Scottburgh and Amanzimtoti on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast. Umkomaas Guest House is the ideal place to come and relax in the peace and tranquility of this small village and is conveniently situated for business guests visiting Sappi Siccor, who are looking for upmarket accommodation .

Most facilities are just a short distance from Umkomaas Guest House. We are centrally located to explore the KwaZulu Natal region. Enjoy all year round sunshine in the subtropical climate. Relax in our Gardens or swim in our 100,000-litre swimming pool, and Umkomaas beach is just a short walk away.

ACCOMMODATION

Umkomaas Guest House offers six bedrooms, five of which are sea facing one has a sea view. All rooms are tastefully decorated. Rooms are air conditioned and en-suite or have a private bathroom. All rooms have a silent running bar fridge, Television, Video, Hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and hospitality tray.

FACILITIES

On site facilities include a huge range of videos and DVDs. The property is fully walled and offers secure off street parking, with access by remote control gates.

THE POOL

100,000 litres - Enough to brush up on your swimming, practice your diving, or just relax poolside with a local drink.

MEALS

Breakfast is a special time at Umkomaas Guest House; our guests say that is why they keep coming back! I’m sure it’s also Sue’s wonderful hospitality.

GOLFING

Umkomaas Guest House is an ideal Holiday Location for Golfers, as we are situated on the third tee of the Umkomaas Golf Course. Umkomaas Golf Course is being upgraded at a cost of R1 million. Already a stunning course it can only get better.

DIVING

We are located close to Dive Charters for divers who wish to dive the Aliwal Shoal, which is one of the top ten dive sites in the world. We can arrange all your dives and dive courses for you if required. We can arrange Tiger Shark Diving which is a controlled dive without a cage. The June and July months are a bit cooler and an ideal time to witness the Sardine Run. You may spot Dolphins, Sharks, Cape Gannets and Game fish.
